On May 10th, Amate Audio hosted the latest series of its Experience showcase events, bit this time in the well-know Sala Santana 27 nightclub in Bilbao, Euskadi. An open day demo for users, customers, distributors, installers and educators to listen and discover the whole potential of Amate Audio solutions.
The venue allowed to rig a full range of Amate Audio’s leading touring sound and AV installation systems, including flown line arrays systems and the latest curvature array solution, the X12CLA. Advanced engineered ‘smart’ sound reinforcement systems from its Xcellence series premium point-source, compact line array systems and subwoofers– offering uncompromising performance and design optimization. The Experience was conducted by Paco Rodríguez, product application engineer and Jordi Amate, sales area manager.
Feedback is likely the part we appreciate most of this kind of events. Even more when we kept on receiving congratulations for the Xcellence series; customers are aware of the big step Amate Audio has done in the last decade.
Jordi Amate, sales area manager
Throughout the day the attendees could listen the systems in several setups and combinations. The main setup included the brand and Xcellence series flagship product, the X210 line array, matched with the advanced, powerful and maneuverable 3000W X218W3K sub. The company’s latest X12CLA ultra-compact, portable constant curvature array (deployable in both array or horizontal point-source cluster configuration), offering exceptional signal quality, constant vertical directivity and very high SPLs, in an exceptionally small form factor cabinet. There was also possible to check the possibilities and differences between the double 8″ X208 and double 10″ X210 line array systems, both in a 8 cabinets configuration. Modular array systems with a precise performance and fidelity, that alongside the whole Xcellence family feature cutting-edge digital electronics including Amate Audio’s unique, innovative over-voltage protection circuit continuously monitors line voltage and instantly disconnects Xcellence series systems when it detects that line voltage has exceeded the máximum permissible level.
As point source systems, attendees could listen the remarkable X14T coaxial active speaker system, which works as an outstanding stage monitor, and still a great deal as main PA, featuring a new 14” mid driver that combines the LF performance of a conventional 15” driver with the vocal clarity and mid range response of a 12” driver was also FOH. And listen the high-end two-way system X15T, composed by a 15″ loudspeaker coupled to a 60º x 50º dispersion horn that makes it ideal for long coverage and clustering.
Systems for high and mid frequencies coverage where matched for low-frequencies with several Xcellence series subwoofers: the 18″ direct radiation X18T sub, the already mentioned doble 18″ and 3000W X218W3K sub and finally, the powerful 21″ X21T sub.
Furthermore, the Experience allowed to know and try some of the main Xcellence series highlights as the remote control thanks to DSP Studio® software which utilises a bespoke control protocol that supports Wi-Fi connectivity (control over IP). DSP Studio® allows to adjust even the finest details, parameters such as gain (per way), limiter, polarity, delay and 5 custom parametric EQs can all be managed via software. Several elements may be controlled at the same time using grouping functions. The software also gives comprehensive information about the amplifier status: input and output levels, heat-sink temperature, clip and protection indications. DSP Studio® is available for PC and iPad.
We would like to thank all attendees for their interest in this special day. Looking forward for the next Experience, stay tuned!
