Shining day for Xcellence

Spanish and French customers enjoyed a unique day to feel and hear Xcellence solutions side by side with Amate Audio’s R&D & applications engineers

Last February 22nd a complete line up of the Xcellence series premium point-source and compact line array systems demonstration was held in an outdoor open day at the Masia restaurant La Torre del Conill in Castellbisbal, Barcelona. Customers from Spain and France had the opportunity to share one of the few times when all  Amate Audio Xcellence solutions could be heard by demand at the same place, add more: the possibility to talk directly to engineers and product developers.

Barcelona based sound company’s advanced engineered ‘smart’ sound reinforcement systems on demonstration included leading models as the flagship line array X210 and the brand new constant curvature array X12CLA.

Amate Audio Product Applications Engineers Paco Rodríguez and Daniel Bartolomé alongside with Robert Breezier, Amate’s distributor for France, led the demonstration explaining tips and key features of Xcellence systems while listening. Throughout the day, Jordi Amate, Sales Manager; Anna Álvarez, Export Department customer Support; and David Martinez, R&D Engineer, were helping customers to solve any doubt left, both comercial or technical.

The first part of demo-day some of the configurations that could be listened were Xcellence X208 2 x 8” compact line array – matched with the massive and powerful two doble 21″ and 2500W X21T subwoofer. The advanced, powerful and maneuverable X218W3K sub was stacked with the company’s latest X12CLA ultra-compact, portable constant curvature array (deployable in both array or horizontal point-source cluster configuration), offering exceptional signal quality, constant vertical directivity and very high SPLs, in an exceptionally small form factor cabinet. The remarkable X14T coaxial active speaker system, featuring a new 14” mid driver that combines the LF performance of a conventional 15” driver with the vocal clarity and mid range response of a 12” driver was also FOH, mounted on top of the X18T 2500 W, 18” compact sub. There was also opportunity to hear the long coverage of the compact and lighter 15″ X15T thanks to its constant directly horn; this point source system was matched with different subs for each listening and see its possibilities.

There was time for Joker systems too; a line-up selection of Joker series high performance installation solutions featured the JK318A 3-way (18”, 12”, 1”) 3000 watt full-range system; the brand new JK15NA, an exceptionally powerful 2-way single 15” active speaker system matched with JK18WA2, compact, high-powered, ‘smart’ sub. And finally, the perfect balance of the 2-way single 12” active speaker JK12A.

Finally, it was time to hear Amate Audio and Xcellence flagship product: X210 line array, in a 10 cabinet setup which stand out for its breakthrough technologies, cutting-edge acoustic design, the highest quality, precision-engineered, customized components and resistant and durable materials. For low frequencies there were used 5 X218W3K subwoofers.

The total power for this setup was 30000W, 15000 for high and mid frequencies and another 15000 for low frequencies.
